Koo Stark as bride
NZPA London Koo Stark has become a video bride — at least on
television. The former soft-porn actress and friend of Prince Andrew will appear on British screens on Monday at the altar in a virginal white wedding dress, national newspapers reported. Her “groom,” a ppp star,
Melvyn Taub (guitarist in
Mari'Wilson’s band), will be standing next to her.
The bizarre ceremony takes place in a 8.8. C. programme titled “It’s All True” — a cautionary tale of the video age. The producer, Alan Yentob, said the idea of the film was to make an “imaginative leap into the video age.”
The director, Julien Temple, said Koo needed some persuading to take the part. “But after we outlined our ideas the project appealed to her. I think she enjoyed working again after all the ballyhoo about her and Prince Andrew — she is a fine actress,” he said.
