Good start by United
Christchurch Mogal United made a successful start to the pre-season $lOOO soccer competition when it beat Western, 5-0. in the opening match of the series al English Park last evening. The Rothmans National League team was ahead at halftime. 2-0. after goals by Keith Braithwaite and the third and
fifteenth minutes. In the second half. Brent Berry put the result beyond doubt when he scored in the fifteenth and nineteenth minutes and Paul Wilkinson added a fifth goal almost on full-time. In the ’’shoot-out" at the end of the game. United prevailed. 3-2.
