Goodman stands out
Share prices continued to firm in busv trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, although the gains were not as strong as on Tuesday. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index rose a marginal 0.76 points. Nevertheless some market leaders made reasonable gains — N.Z. Forest Products 3c. TNL Group 2c. and Wattie 2c, Goodman Group stood out on a 7c rise, as did Ivon Watkins-Dow on a 10c improvement. Dalgety New Zealand lost 5c after reporting a decline in earnings, but Hume Industries (N.Z.) firmed 5c after announcing it had more than trebled its profit. Marac was also ahead alter news of its result.
