Off-peak bus fares
Sir,—What a boon the offpeak busfares have been. They have enabled many people to take trips to town or to visit friends without feeling too guilty about depleting the household purse. I have noticed a big increase in patronage on our buses — Wainoni-Burwood — and hope that this has been the case over Christchurch. We should feel indebted to the Christchurch Transport Board for its forward-looking policies in this regard.-May they long continue to the mutual benefit of the board and its patrons. — Yours, etc., • JILL WILCOX. February 9, 1983.
