Valuables returned
Sir,—We are visitors from Canada and on Saturday we lost our passports and airline ticket holder. They were dropped at a bus'stop. A kind woman from Timaru picked them up and delivered them to the Papanui police station. Through her help, that of a local radio station disc jockey and of the officers of the Papanui and Central police stations our valuables were returned to us. Our sincere gratitude is extended to all those involved. It is encouraging to know, when so far from home, that good will is universal.—Yours, etc., A. MARY McAVOY and KERRY JARVIS. February 8, 1983.
