Sewer row meeting
About 100 labourers and drivers employed by the Christchurch Drainage Board will hold a stop-work meeting today to discuss the dispute between the board and about 25 staff of the flushing section at Hazeldean Road over hours of work. The flushers, part of whose job is to flush water down sewers to clear obstructions, have been taking industrial action this week in support of a claim for changed hours of work. Their award pro-
