Further exemptions from freeze
Parliamentary reporter Another 51 applications for exemption from the price freeze because of hardship have been approved by the Government. Several Christchurch schools have had rises in their fees approved. Cathedral Grammar school has had an increase in tuition fees of 8 per cent. Sacred
Heart Girls' College an increase in hostel fees of 9.1 per cent. St Margaret s College an increase of 2.3 per cent in tuition fees, and Selwyn House School an increase in tuition fees of 8.6 per cent. . Lleo's Coffee House in Christchurch has been allowed to increase the price of various food lines by 12 per cent.
