Bulldozer driver hurt
PA Auckland A bulldozer driver who suffered internal injuries in an accident north of Helensville on Saturday was rescued by a helicopter crew and flown to hospital. The driver, Gareth Hodges, of Warkworth. at Makarau,
was working on a gas pipeline site 25km north of Helensville when his machine overturned, trapping him in the canopy. Mr Hodges was described as being in fair condition in the hospital’s intensive-care unit last evening.
