Reward for satchel
A Christchurch businessman has offered a $5O reward for the return of a fawn leatherette satchel which was stolen from his van on Tuesday evening. Mr Owen Byfield, of St Martins, said his van was parked in Ferry Road when the satchel, which contained all the stock records of his second-hand machinery business, was stolen. “They are worthless to
anyone else. All the satchel contains is names, addresses, and prices,” he said. Mr Byfield said a jogger found a cheque book, which had been in the satchel, in St Johns Street, Woolston, yesterday. "It is obvious the cheque book was thrown out of a car,” he said. Mr Byfield said the satchel was old, torn, and made of fawn leatherette.
