Parkhurst greetings

PA Auckland Members of the Auckland police drug squad have had a Christmas card they believe was sent by the convicted murderer, and drugs syndicate boss, Alexander James Sinclair. The card,. signed “Terry Sinclair,” appears to have come from Parkhurst Prison on the Isle of Wight where Sinclair, also known as Terence John Clark, is serving a life sentence for murder. Bearing an elephant’s head on the outside, the card is

addressed “To ail the lads of the squad” and says: “Sure miss seeing you at the old stomping grounds!” . A handwritten message on the card says: “Have a good Xmas, I hope you are full of Xmas spirit. Do a ‘Santa’ by droping (sic) of (sic) a good fat ‘stick’ or two off to all my ‘ex’ customers.” A finger or thumb print has been imprinted on the card which also bears a Parkhurst Prison stamp. On the envelope is written: “Terry Sinclair, No. 771372, H.M. Prison, Parkhurst,

Newport, P.O. Box 30, SNX England.” The officer in charge of the Auckland drug squad, Detective Inspector Bryan Rowe, said yesterday: “We have no reason to believe it (the card sender) is not him, but we will not carry out any inquiries as to whether it is. “We were surprised to get a card. It created a bit of a laugh among the boys. It shows he (Sinclair) is able to maintain a sense of humour despite his present difficulties?’
