Walker out for S.I.
PA Auckland John Walker, who has just resumed training after a bout of viral influenza, will miss the southern part of the coming international track series, said his wife last evening. Helen Walker said: "John woke me on New Year's Day with the flu. He had sore
eyes, ears and high temperatures. “He was in bed for four days. He couldn't eat much and he hds lost a lot of condition. “He had a training run yesterday, but only for 20 minutes. John is disappointed that he will miss the early part of the track series.”
