Tour too long for Orr
NZPA London The Irish rugby international. Phil Orr. has asked not to be considered for this year's British Lions tour of New Zealand. Orr is the second member of Ireland's victorious Australian tour team to withdraw from Lions selection.
after the former Ireland captain. Fergus Slattery. Orr. a loosehead prop, said: "The tour is much too long as far as I am concerned.” Orr. aged 32, has been capped 35 times and toured with the Lions in New Zealand in 1977 and as a substitute to South Africa in 1980.
