Concert

The Christchurch Conservatoire Secondary String Orchestra will perform in Christchurch Cathedral at 5.15 p.m. on Friday. This year the orchestra, for the second year running, won the national finals of the Bank oi New South Wales chamber music competitions. In this concert, two members of the orchestra will perform the Vivaldi concerto in A minor for two violins. The performers will be Alister Bush and Nigel Shotford. A past member of the orchestra, and an older student of the conservatoire. John Rogers, is the soloist in Hindemith's Funeral Music. The- orchestra will also perform works by Mozart and Britten, under the baton of its conductor, Tom Rogers.
