Cricket postponed

Canterbury's limited-overs cricket match against Wellington will now’ be played at Wellington next Sunday. The game was to. have been held last Sunday, but heavy rain in Wellington caused a postponement. Both provinces are now expected to field their Shell Series sides. The Wellington team is to be announced today. Had the fixture been

held as scheduled Canterbury would-have been without Rod Latham, who was representing the New Zealand under-22 side in Auckland, and Paul Rutledge, because of illness. The enforced delay will leave clubs without their provincial players for the first' round of the limitedovers competition next Sunday.
