Custody for cruelty to pets
PA Auckland A teen-age girl appeared in the North Shore Children and Young Persons Court yesterday on charges related to the killing of several pets in a Glenfield house last month. The girl aged 14. was admonished by Judge Mur-, ray and committed to the custody of the Social Welfare Department. She was charged with arson, burglarly, and aggravated cruelty to animals. The charges were related to an incident on November 19 in which three dogs, a cat. and a cockatiel were mutilated and a Marlborough Avenue house ransacked. The alarm was raised after- ...a builder working nearby saw s 'smoke coming from the. building.
