Dogs found dead
Samples from two dogs found dead in St Albans have been sent to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research for analysis. The dogs, an alsatian-collie cross and a dobermann pinscher, were found on Mrs L. Davis’s property in Glenfield Crescent. Mrs Davis believes the dogs were killed by a poison so strong that it could have endangered her children. The family’s alsatian-collie cross, “Kelly,” had vomited before he died. Any flies which went near his mouth died instantly, according to Mrs Davis. An autopsy was performed and samples taken for analysis.
