Naval uniform
Sir,—May. I through you point out that the Court Theatre cannot be excused for the rig purporting to be naval uniform worn by one of its members in-the photograph in “The Press” today. With a lieutenant’s lace on his sleeve, Mr Victor Clough is adorned by a “brass, hat” not worn by an officer of rank below commander? He also appears to be wearing an impressive array of ribbons for one so young, which would be an anachronism unless his play was set in the period shortly after the last World War. I suggest a dash of gray at his temples and his promotion to captain.—yours, B. A. M. MOON. November 23, 1982.
