Scholarships for women

Three post-graduate fellowships have been awarded this year by the Federation of University Women. The sixtieth anniversary award has been made to Mrs Claire Matthewson, of Dunedin who graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1969 with a master of arts degree, She is completing a Ph.D. at Otago University.

The other two fellowships have been awarded to Mrs Margaret Drimble, of Auckland, and Miss Deborah Fearon, of Palmerston North, Mrs Drimble' intends to study for a Ph.D. in chemistry at Southampton University, England, and Miss Fearon intends to study international marketing, in the United States.
