Theatre strike called off

PA Dunedin The strike by Dunedin's Fortune Theatre production workers was called off on Friday evening after agreement was reached to take their pay claims to conciliation. Both the production workers and theatre management agreed that the issue should proceed to conciliation on the basis of the package proposed by the Association of Community Theatres and accepted by production staff, in theatres in other centres. The Fortune workers have been on strike for three weeks.
