Azawary spelling

The Sydney Cup winner Azawary did not make the trip to Melbourne when his co-trainer Alan Jones took Chimbu, Focal Point and Azaking to Australia recently. .

Azawary is spelling. He was galloped on during the running of the Jellicoe Handicap at Ellerslie and his off foreleg was injured. His co-trainer Lance Douglas said, "we will just have to see how he progresses before making any further plans." Douglas said that according to advice received from Jones, his training partner, the other horses had settled in well at Seymour where they are based.
