Police raids net 32

PA Auckland Twenty-nine men and three women were arrested yesterday in early-morning raids on 41 Auckland properties. Those arrested in “Operation Coasting” face 95 charges relating to stolen property and drugs.

Among the drugs recovered in the raids were LSD, methadone, and hashish. Electrical equipment worth about $25,000 was also recovered. About 90 police and customs staff, including a number of drug dogs, took part in the raids, which began at 6.30 a.m.
