90 extra calls to bureau
Pressures in the community accounted for an extra 90 calls to the Christchurch Citizens' Advice Bureau in July, compared with June, said the monthly “Bureau Bulletin." The bureau received 1502 calls last month, of which 109,8 were from women. The average number of enquiries each day was 68.3. The bureau was open for 22 days. A breakdown of calls included 248 fOr family, marriage and personal problems: 207 for consumer, trade, and manufacturing matters; 152 for legal questions; and 149 for tenancy and accommodation inquiries.
