Industries’ costs up
PA Wellington Industries found that the level of prices paid for goods and services, excluding labour, were up by 16.7 per cent in the June quarter this year, in comparison with the ■same quarter of 1981. The Statistics Department has said that compared with the March, 1982, quarter, the June quarter figure was up 4.2 per cent. The three industry groups showing the largest increases over the- quarter a year earlier were communications (Post Office charges) 19.3 per cent, forestry and logging 10.3 per cent, and ownership of dwellings (rentals) 8 per cent. .
