Court shows profit

"Macbeth." one of the Court Theatre's most ambitious productions, has shown a "slight profit?” the theatre’s director, Mr Elric, Hooper, said recently.

The play,’ which cost the theatre $84,800 to stage, drew a record attendance of 9518. This is 1000 more than the previous record set for Roger Hall's “Fifty-Fifty.” Meanwhile, the Court Theatre also showed a profit for its benefit performance for actress. Susan Curnow.

About 230 people attended the performance which raised $l5OO towards assisting Susan Curnow during her two years of study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
