Hadlee hits century

NZPA London The New . Zealand cricketer. Richard Hadlee, shrugged off a hamstring injury and produced a match-winning all-round performance for Nottinghamshire in the English Sunday Cricket League yesterday. Hadlee lashed 100 in 80 deliveries with three sixes and 10 fours and took two for 33 as his team beat Gloucestershire by 47 runs.

The New Zealander's century was his first in the league and he put on 96 for the second wicket with a Kenyan. Basharat Hassan, who hit 54. to lift Nottinghamshire to 214 for six in the quota of 40 overs. Gloucestershire was dismissed for 167. The leader, Sussex, consolidated its attempt to win the title for the first time when it beat Hampshire by 13 runs.
