Schoolboys’ rugby tour
PA Wellington A'New Zealand secondary schools' rugby team will make a six-match tour of Japan in January. Two tests against Japan will be played during the three’-week tour. Players eligible to tour must be under 19 on January 1 and be bona fide pupils for the 1983
school year. There will be 21 players and three managers in the party. Mr John Worthing, the secretary of the Schools’ Rugby Council, said that the nucleus of the team would be selected from the side to play a test against the Australian schoolboys in Wellington on September 19.
