Paolo Rossi, beat N’Kono only to hit the inside of the post, but in the fifty-eighth, minute England’s Kevin Keegan scored with a right-' footed back-heel from a Rossi pass. Pezzey equalised for the Europeans in the seventyninth minute, and nine minutes later Antognoni slammed in the winner.
The match, sponsored by F.I-.F.A., soccer’s ruling body, was organised for the benefit of the United Nations Children’s Fund (U.N.1.C.E.F.).
