Women’s hockey teams

Canterbury will have a formidable team to defend the K Cup at the national women's hockey tournament in Nelson from August 30 to September 4. The team announced last evening. contains eight current or former New Zealand representatives. and three national under-23 representatives. Canterbury won the K Cup last year, and shared it the previous year with Hawke's Bay. and will be attempting its third, successive victory this year. The selectors.' Mesdames P. Barwick. M. Ogier and M. Jenkins. also announced the Canterbury B team which will play in the'Floyd Shield (second) section at the tournament.
