Aircraft engine tests

Sir.—ln reply to Robin Duff's letter (June 12). surely, commonsense can prevail. Engine ground runs are not done at 1 a.m. without extremely good reason and it does not occur very often. I am concerned about the vehemence of Mr Duffs letter. Perhaps if it had been a company other than Air New Zealand there would have been little or no complaint. I am becoming increasingly disgusted at the public's bitter attitude towards Air. New Zealand. The workers are having to bear the brunt of it. They are ordinary humans.who are,’ at present, under the big redundancy threat. So we should have some support for our country's airline and its employees. — Your's, etc.. UNA S.LAPWOOD. June 13. 1982.
