$5000 to aid islanders
PA Wellington The New Zealand Red Cross Society has given SSOOO to the International Committee of the Red Cross to help those affected by the fighting in the Falkland Islands. The organisation would
visit prisoners of war of both sides, check the arrangements for moving out the sick and wounded, visit Argentine and British hospital ships,and ensure that the civilian population was adequately protected, it said.
