School groups summoned
PA , Wellington Representatives of the main, education groups have been summoned by the Minister of Education (Mr Wellington):
Jvone of the groups, representing teachers, students, and. ‘ employing authorities, has been told what the meetings will be about, but they bejieve that, they will be giVepjv notice of education ct^s,/..; •JSach group has been- allocated ’about 15 minutes with thpfMinister this afternoon, has told each of them that he wants to speak to in confidence. . Spokesman for the Min-ister’s-.office said, “Some things .will be told to them in
confidence.” There would be no statements issued, the spokesman said. All the education groups had been asked to attend.
However, missing from the list of groups, are the Association of Teachers in Technical Institutes arid the Teachers Colleges’ Association. .
