Extradition to Australia
PA Auckland A Taupo man facing a charge of felonious slaying in Sydney was ordered to be extradited to Australia when he appeared in the District Court at Auckland yesterday. The charge against Ronald James Fla veil, aged 28, a bushman.. arises from the death of-a man outside a Sydney hotel in September, 1981. Judge Kerr, after hearing evidence on the legal interpretation of “felonious slaying” from an Australian barrister, said he was satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that felonious slaying and manslaughter were the same. He continued $4OOO bail for Flavell until noon today, when he was ordered to report to the Auckland Cen-> tral Police Station.
