My Gold Hope’s programme
NZPA Brisbane The New Zealand mare. My Gold Hope, had a quick look at Eagle Farm on Thursday with some cantering in the exercise ring after her early-morning arrival in Brisbane from New Zealand. The mare is 6-to-l second favourite for the Elders Handicap on her second visit to Australia after beating the best milers in the country in the Doncaster-All Aged Stakes double at Randwick last month. My Gold Hope is expected
to have only one start before the Elders Handicap (1400 m at Eagle Farm on June 12 and her New Zealand trainer. Ray Verner, also plans to start her in the $150,000 ($NZ207,000)... Cup in July. The New Zealand jockey. Nigel Tiley. will join My Gold Hope in Australia in a few days and according to Verner, the mare was likely to have her first outing in the Katie's Cup next week. Tiley rode My Gold Hope in her two previous Sydney wins.
