Varsity off back mark
University harrier teams are off the back mark in both the women’s and the men’s sections of the annual Anglican Block relays at Spencer Park today. The handicap relays have attracted 45 men’s teams, 24 women’s and 18 veterans’. The University men’s A team will feature a former national junior champion, Dave Burridge, whose last
race was the Hagley relays when he was fourth fastest. Others in the team are Kevin O’Sullivan, Graeme Mollinson, Graeme Eng and Paddy Bodger. The University women’s A team comprises Wendy Mollison, Debbie and Lynn Tipper, Denise McGregor and Lee Hunt and will give away a start of five minutes to Christchurch A.
