Charge after death
A man died after being hit by a car on an intersection in Point Chevalier, Auckland, on Saturday evening. He was Allan James Hills, aged 74, of Point Chevalier.
The Auckland police later arrested a man and charged him with careless driving causing death. He will appear in the District Court today.
