Nathan to manage Maoris

PA Wellington A former All Black. Waka Nathan, will manage the Maori team on its tour of Wales and Spain in October, the N.Z.R.F.U. council decided yesterday. The council elected Mr Nathan ahead of the chairman of the Maori Advisory Board. Ivan Vodanovich. who

was manager of the Maoris on their South Pacific tour three years ago, and Bert Mackie, of Christchurch. As expected, the convener of the Maori selection panel, Percy Erceg, was named coach with Graeme Hayhow (Auckland), to be the physiotherapist. Other appointments made for the year by the council

were Pat Gill for manager and Peter Burke for coach of the All Black team to play Australia in three tests, Paul ’ Mitchell as . manager and Bryce Rope as coach of the New Zealand Juniors on their internal tour, and Tom Johnson as manager, and Stan Hill as coach of the New Zealand Colts team to play Australia. .
