The long Easter holiday week-end and Britain's decision to mount a blockade around the Falkland Islands from yesterday, kept trading quiet on the London Stock Exchange on Thursday. Equity leaders ended mixed with a firmer bias
helped by some short covering. dealers said. - During the afternoon session the “Financial Times" industrial index was ahead 0.9 points to 562.2. The London market began the week on an easier note, with the possible repercussions frnm the Falkland Islands crisis dominating market sentiment. This trend continued on Tuesday, although the re-
lease of the mid-March banking statistics prompted a technical rally, dealers said. On Thursday, share prices extended the technical rally, but closed below initial levels as trading reflected the apprehension about the Falkland Islands crisis.
