Sections realise about $¾M
Eighteen sections at the intersection of Grahams . Road and Memorial Avenue, Burnside, together were sold \ for about $750,000 at a public auction on Saturday. The top price for one seci tion was $50,000 and the , lowest price was $35,250. The average price was $40,800. The 18 sections are part of I a 24-section subdivision I which has been auctioned in
two lots The first auction was held in October, 1981, when six of the sections were offered for sale.
The auctioneer, Mr Colin Robertson, said that about 300 people had attended the auction on Saturday. “It is the first major sale of the year, and prices have held up well compared with the first sale in October,” he said.
