Another reason to celebrate

Debbie Randell had another reason to celebrate her first success in the Canterbury women’s 54-hole stroke championship at Waitikiri yesterday. The Nelson golfer has been named with Waikato’s Janjce Arnold to represent New Zealand in the Western Aus-

tralian 72-hole stroke tournament at the Lake Karrinytip Country Club from April 19 to 21. Miss Arnold, who has-just turned 20, is on a plus two handicap and Miss Randell, aged 18, is on plus one. The two New Zealand players will compete along

with two representatives from New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. New South Wales will be represented by two of that country’s foremost players, Edwina Kennedy and Heather Bleek.
