Fight against apartheid
Sir,—We all like'to see the black South Africans have a say in their own country, free to go anywhere, decent housing, etc. But once again we have Minto and co. crying shame as five rugby union councillors visit South Africa. Why are the African countries not shouting a boycott of England? Why just New Zealand alone? It seems any country other than New Zealand can play with South Africa without an outcry. Some states in Australia practise apartheid but yet HART does not want to know about it. The Ku Klux Klan encourage racism; where is the cry from HART? Surely if you fight against apartheid in one country you should fight it in others. Let us be consistent.—Yours, etc., M. J. WILTON. March 13, 1982.
