World rugby congress
NZPA staff correspondent London Rugby administrators from about 80 countries will be invited to a congress to be held by the International Rugby Board in London in 1984. The congress, the first to be organised by the board, will attempt to assist the development of the game throughout the world as well as promote an understanding
of the spirit of the game, said Mr Mickey SteeleBodger (England), the chairman of 1.R.8. planning committee. The congress, which will also assist the 1.R.8. to assess the state of the game, will include discussion papers on the likes of organisation and administration within a club and union, the safety of players, and amateurism.
