Greyhounds Impressive trials by hurdlers

Tiz Too and Lively Kiwi, which are likely to monopolise betting on the $lOOO 3ZB Hurdles at Queen Elizabeth II Park on Friday evening both recorded impressive trials on the course on Monday evening. A talented dog from the Okaiawa kennels of Peter McKerrow, Tiz Too had little trouble adapting to the unfamiliar surroundings as he jumped stylishly throughout his solo 560 m over the hurdles circuit, recording an unofficial 36.65. By Muldoon out of Reaction, Tiz Too will derive great benefit from the outing and looks almost certain to justify the favouritism he will undoubtedly have bestowed upon him. The Auckland-owned
Lively Kiwi was also impressive and recorded a time fractionally faster than that of Tiz Too. A recent winner of the South Island Hurdles in Dunedin, Lively Kiwi seems sure to be in the money on Friday evening. Tegimi Era, a kennelmate of Tiz Too and a South Island championship hopeful, was given a run over 560 m and performed with distinction, recording a slick 34.35. The Tegimi-Royal Blue bitch will clash with another northerner, Nearest Exit, in the fourth championship heat on Friday. Penalty bearing events run by the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club on Monday were won by The Reefer, Tarney’s Tiger,White Brocade, Red Pardons, and Havoc’s Pride.
