Improved P.R. sought
The improvement of public relations was the aim of an informal meeting between North Canterbury national parks and reserves board members and park groups. The Arthur's Pass Association was host to the social gathering at a Christchurch hotel. Representatives attended from the New Zealand Alpine Club, the Canterbury Mountaineering /Club, the'Christchurch and University of Canterbury ski clutis, and the association. ' One of the organisers. Mrs M. Barren said that the evening was a step towards developing a close working relationship between the park board and groups, out? side the atmosphere of formal meetings.
