Four five-wicket bowling figures featured in the reduced lower grade cricket competition in Christchurch on Saturday. The best return came from the Old Collegians eight grade bowler, Cutts, who -took 5/19 in bis team’s winning effort against Sydenham. Scores:— Eighth grade Sydenham B 156/9 (H. Patel 64) beat Marist 139 (P. O'Donovan 56; C. Redpath 5/42). Old Collegians 101/5 beat Sydenham 97 (Cutts 5/19). Lancaster Park B 122/8 lost to Technical 123/5.
High School Old Boys A 114 lost to H. 5.0.8. B 117/9. East Shirley 167/9 dec. beat Lancaster Park A 147. Ninth grade East Shirley A 203/9 beat Technical 28. Sydenham 180/9 beat East Shirley B 173. President’s grade East Shirley 99 lost to Police 102/3. Marist 120 beat Old Collegians B 112 fT. O’Shannessey 5/22). Old Collegians A 140 (W. Barberel 5/25) lost to H. 5.0.8. 141/9.
