Women’s cricket
Sir.—While visiting New Zealand. I have received great pleasure in watching womens cricket matches as part of the World Cup organised by the New Zealand Women's Cricket Council. The matches were of the highest standard and were played in good spirit; the final match at Lancaster Park was an excellent example of topstandard women’s cricket. I wish to commend the New Zealand organising committee and all persons who made this series possible.—Yours, etc., BETTY BUTCHER. Essendon. Vic. Australia. February 9. 1982.
