Fourkero’s first
Sir Ashley, an impressive winner of the Belfast Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday, is one of the first runners for Fourkero, an imported son of Firestreak at stud in Canterbury. Fourkero covered only four mares after a delayed arrival from overseas to join the stallion bank at the Morenstow Stud in 1978, and Sir Ashley is one of his only two racing representatives so far. Sir Ashley was having his third start for Mrs M. and Mr M. C. Bailey when he won on Saturday. He has an engagement in the Dallington Handicap on the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting today.
