PA Dunedin An American will play a New Zealander in the singles final of the Air New Zealand satellite tennis tournament in Dunedin tomorrow after upset results in the quarterfinals yesterday. Jeff Simpson (New Zealand) the second seed, and Warren Maher (Australia), the fourth seed, were beaten by two unseeded Americans, Robert Crames and Mark Darby respectively in enthralling struggles. The semi-finals today will be contested by Crames aged 21, and Darby aged 25. and by the two New Zealanders,

Bruce Derlin, aged 20, and

David Mustard, aged 22, Mustard is the top seed for the tournament and Derlin is seeded third. Results.-

(Aust.) 6-4. 2-6. 6-4: B. Derlin (N.Z.) beat R. Evett (Aust.) 6-2, 64: D. Mustard (N.Z) beat N. Motahdi (Can.) 6-4. 6-2: Crames (U.S.) beat J. Simpson (N.Z.) 7-5, 7-6. Doubles quarter-finals: S. Maloney and R. Grant (Aust.) beat R. Metz and E. Sherlock (U.S.) 6-3. 3-6, 7-6; L. Warder and D. Graham (Aust.) beat W. Horskins and B. Sharp (Aust.) 6-3. 6-1; D. Mustard (N.Z.) and R.
