No mail for Waitangi
No mail will be delivered on Waitangi Day, February 6. However, mail will be collected from street posting boxes and Post Offices at 8 a.m. Surface mail at the Chief Post Office will close at 7 a.m.. airmail at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and overseas airmail at 8.30 a.m. The toll exchange will be open and after-hours telegrams and tolls can be lodged from public telephone boxes. The public telex and oasis booths of the Bureaufax Service, in the Christchurch Transport Board building, Cathedral Square, will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
