Onny Parun eliminated
PA Dunedin The unseeded American, Terry Bennett, eliminated Onny Parun from the Air New Zealand Satellite tennis singles yesterday. Bennett forced Parun out of the tournament after two rounds, winning 7-6, 6-3. “I didn’t play well all-round but there’s always another day," Parun said later. “I was seeded five and Bennett wasn’t seeded. I lost in two sets to a guy I should have beaten in two sets. I played badly. "A couple of calls may have gone against me but I would have lost on any surface today,’’ Parun said. This was the only upset yesterday although Warren Maher (Australia) was taken to three sets by Guy Callender (New Zealand) in the most exciting match of the day.
