Police name man
The Christchurch police have named the man who died after his bicycle and a car collided at the intersection of Tuam Street and Barbadoes Street about 8.40 p.m. on Monday. He was Joseph David Wright, aged 54, a fitter and turner, of
England Street, Linwood. Mr Wright suffered severe head injuries in the accident. He died soon after in the intensive care unit at Christchurch Hospital. The two occupants of the car were treated for shock.
